GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has recalled bottles of 100ct Panadol Advance pain relievers, as it failed to meet standards set by Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA).

GSK's Panadol Advance pain relievers contain acetaminophen that requires child-resistant packaging, which the company did not provide.

The medicine was stored in white bottles with blue label within blue box.

Lot numbers and dates codes are printed on the left side panel of the box and on the left side of the label on the bottle, near the bar code.

The lot numbers of the recalled products are 14241 with expiration date of February 2015, 14002 with expiration date of October 2014, and 13881 and 13801 with expiration dates of September 2014.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission, which protects the public from risks of injury or death associated with the use of consumer products, has urged consumers to immediately place the product out of child's reach and contact GSK for refund.

Around 10,600 units of the product have been sold in Puerto Rico.
