US based automaker Ford has recalled 19,106 units of the 2013 Fusion for the second time in the home market,due to a problem in the headlamp.

The recall is due to the defect in the coating of the low-beam headlamp projector which causes blurred lighting after prolonged use and may lead to accidents.

The problem is reported to be only in the cars manufactured between February and October 2012.

The automaker is to rectify the problem by replacing the defective headlamps with new unaffected headlamps.

In November 2012,the company had recalled 2013 modeled 16,000 units of Fusion cars and 73,000 Escape SUVs in the US and Canada due to engine fire caused by overheating and leaking fluids.

Both the SE and SEL models of Escape and Fusion those are equipped with the 1.6L four-cylinder engine were recalled as the issue led to vehicle fires while the engine is running.
